Growing up with a blue-collared father, Brad often envied his classmates who lived in nice horses and had money. He decided to lie to the other kids by telling them his father was a real estate mogul, but his truth was quickly revealed. He became an outcast from his peers because he was seen as a βscumβ of the neighborhood. Parents wouldnβt even let their kings go out and play with Brad. This experience had taught Brad to become true to others: authentic. He realized that authenticity was necessary to find people that would want to be with him.

Once Brad realized his desire for attention and admiration, he left his hometown and headed to Los Angeles. Through his skill of persuasion, he was able to convince his friend to quit his job and go to California with him. But, Bradβs career had barely had progress there. Instead, he became hooked on crack and sold everything he owned in order to get more of it. It was only through experiencing an almost-dying feeling that helped him snap out of his addiction and return βοΈ to Oregon to pursue his acting career. Though his progression had made a few steps forward, he wasnβt able to find the success he wanted. So, he decided to look towards the marines as a way to find a new direction in his life.Β
