Disregarding Expectations
Brought up in a hyper-religious household ⛪️, Dylan Jacob was taught and expected to accept that the answers to all his questions big and small were “God.” Literally anything he couldn’t understand and wanted an explanation for, Dylan’s father would reply with the all powerful Christian deity, God. Needless to say, many of his existential questions were answered inadequately for his understanding 🧠. Since his father was not of use, Dylan would have to develop his own way to figure out the world 🌎. This would prove instrumental in his pursuit of the hustle!
Meet Dylan Jacob
Drugs 💊 to Drinkware 🍺?
Defying the conventional norms, Dylan chose a path of doing and dealing drugs. It satiated his need for the hustle and made him feel like one of the cool kids 😎. It wasn’t long before he was caught selling in the school bathroom and ended up in a juvenile detention center. Even worse, Dylan would constantly pick fights - one of which landed him in full-on jail 😞. While sitting in his cell he became determined to turn his life around.
Dylan was determined to defy expectations again, but this time, by exceeding them. Giving up drugs and focusing his energy into school work, Dylan would outperform many of his peers - eventually reaching top 20 in his class 🤓. But there was something missing. Something about his old life with drugs was itching to return. Dylan was excited and thrilled by the push of a sale - figuring out details and finding a customer base - something that was satiated by dealing. But after fixing a couple broken phones and ‘flipping’ them (refurbishing and reselling), Dylan was able to turn a profit way greater 💸 than anything he saw as a dealer. He was hooked on the hustle 💰.
